Regina’s Place Brand shines as City activates for Grey Cup and Agribition

(Regina, SK) As the world converges on Regina for Grey Cup and Agribition, Economic Development Regina (EDR), and its partners, are aiming the spotlight squarely on the Queen City.

“Regina has a great story to tell about opportunity, growth, and optimism,” said Chris Lane, EDR President and CEO. “More than ever, Regina has an opportunity to take its place on the global stage and, together with our partners, we’re going to do exactly that.”

Together with the Regina Hotel Association, Tourism Regina, Harvard Developments, the Regina Downtown Business Improvement District, and Regina-born FrontRunner Technologies, EDR’s multi-level Place Brand campaign will feature TV ads, targeted online advertising and promoted social media posts, window projection advertisements, a digital art installation, and a new landing page for Regina’s growth story –

“When the world is watching, Regina stands up and steps into the spotlight,” Regina Hotel Association CEO Tracy Fahlman said. “We have a well-earned reputation as a world-class host city and we’re proud to show it off.”

Built on Regina’s new “Grow Your World Here” brand initiative, the campaign features three key messages:

  • Regina is the heartbeat of the new prairie economy: Already a global powerhouse in ag and food, Regina is a place of opportunity for residents, businesses, and investors to grow and prosper.
  • Regina is a great place to make a home: Regina is a city where quality of life and community matter. Featuring CFL All-Star Derrick Moncrief, the ad speaks to the thing that make the city special – its people. VIEW THE VIDEO
  • Regina is the ultimate host city: Whether you are attending or hosting an event, our community rallies around you with energy and prairie hospitality. Proudly located on Treaty 4 land, Regina is a vital hub for trade, culture, and community. VIEW THE VIDEO

“This is an amazing time for Regina. With the Grey Cup Festival, Agribition, and Frost just around the corner, we’re showing the world the Regina truly is the ultimate host city,” REAL President and CEO Tim Reid said. “When our city rolls out the welcome mat, we’ve proven time and again that there’s no better place to be – and we couldn’t be more excited to help share that story.”

The multi-platform campaign will run for several weeks, spanning two major events and showcase Regina to hundreds of thousands of people.
