How to Use Economic Development Regina’s Site Selector Tool
Welcome to Economic Development Regina’s new site selector tool, one of the easiest ways to search for new business and development opportunities in Regina and area.
You can search for vacant land for development, or for available commercial properties, which can be filtered by size, sale or lease, or by property type. Once a property is selected, the right-hand panel displays a detailed property listing.
Scalable Market Research
By selecting “Demographics” we can see a detailed breakdown of demographic information within a selected radius of the potential property. Current data is available for age, household income, and education status, to name a few.
Selecting “Labour Force” will show similar data on available employees in the area by occupation and industry.
“Consumer Expenditures” breaks down consumption in the area by category and subcategory, including electronics, clothing, furniture and much more.
Find Clusters and Competition
Selecting “Business” will plot all the businesses in the selected radius by category and subcategory. Select “All Off”, then toggle select categories to view specific business types. If you can’t find a business type, you can also search by NAIC (North American Industry Classification) cod. All NAIC codes can be found on the Statistics Canada website.
Municipal Data
By selecting “Map Layers”, we can see additional information like infrastructure lines, transit routes, land use zones, and more.
When you’re finished, easily export your map along with any additional data as a PDF or shareable link.
Whether searching for a large industrial or commercial site, finding the right location for expansion, or discovering a spot for your new startup, EDR’s Site Selector tool has all the information you need in one convenient place.
