Canada’s Largest Interconnected Event Complex

Regina’s Evraz Place has proven itself as a premier destination for events and conventions worldwide. Covering more than 100 acres, Evraz Place is the largest interconnected event complex of it’s kind in Canada, an accolade which has shined through in the caliber of events it has hosted in recent years.

Part of The Family

Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) operates Evraz Place in the heart of Regina. The organization is a not-for-profit corporation that operates and maintains the assets at Evraz Place on behalf of Regina City Council. All profits are reinvested into improving the facilities and ensuring that event-goers have an even better experience year over year.

Tim Reid, President and CEO of REAL, has come from Edmonton’s Northlands to take the lead, overseeing operations at Evraz Place. He cites the city’s welcoming nature as a key factor in his decision to move, and one of the biggest reasons events thrive in Regina.

“There’s a hospitality in this community that very few other cities have,” said Reid. “There’s an energy, there’s almost a family-like experience when you come to an event here in Regina. We embrace you, we welcome you, and we want you to be part of our family.”

A Growing Complex

The last few years have ushered in major developments at Evraz Place, as the complex officially unveiled two of it’s biggest and boldest facilities yet. In July 2017, Mosaic Stadium opened to the public with an expandable capacity of 40,000, 38 premium suites, and a wide range of local food and beverage offerings.

In November 2017 Evraz Place also welcomed the new International Trade Centre (ITC). The 150,000 sq. ft. multi-use facility is designed to host anything from international agri-business events to large tradeshows and conventions. It features a number of customizable configurations depending on an event’s exact specifications.

These new additions join existing world-class spaces. The Brandt Centre is home to the Regina Pats and, in 2018, hosted the 100th Memorial Cup with more than 50,000 fans in attendance. Other facilities like the Queensbury Convention Centre offer beautifully designed meeting spaces and high-end catering options.

To top it all off, all of these diverse spaces are just a 10-minute drive from the Regina International Airport and Regina’s downtown core.

Just One Phone Call

According to Reid, Evraz Place’s biggest selling feature is its unwavering ability to accommodate all of an event’s moving parts. From coordinating on technology services to catering, and everything in between, the Evraz Place team can manage events of all shapes and sizes down to the last detail.

“I think the great thing about Evraz Place is that no matter how big or small your event is, we’re a one-stop shop. You really only need to make one phone call. We can provide you with the very best space, the very best event coordinators and programming coordinators. We can provide you with the very best culinary experience that exists, perhaps in Western Canada.”

The fact that the entire Evraz Place complex is interconnected further enhances this “one-stop shop” advantage. With the exception of the nearby Mosaic Stadium, all the different facilities can be accessed without ever having to go outside. Moving from the tradeshow floor, to an arena event, to dinner can be done seamlessly.

Globally Competitive

According to Reid Regina’s capacity and reputation for hosting major events, conventions, and tradeshows will only continue to grow. He says he’s witnessed an awakening in the city as it takes its place on the world stage.

“What I’ve seen is a change in our perspective. We’ve recognized that we’re not just competing within our city or within our province. We’re competing on a global stage. We now have amenities, infrastructure, and talent to bring the very best in sports, recreation, and entertainment right here to Regina.”
